The food is excellent. Definitely better than average so far as Indian restaurants go.

Food was great. Ordered chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Seems like the food is cooked fresh cause it took a little while for it to come out. Nice peeps. Men's restroom smelled like turpentine, which oddly complimented the rest of the decor. I also tried a lemony soda that reminded me of how urinal cakes smell. Rarely head out here, but I'd probably eat here again.

Small restaurant doing mostly take out for truckers. We ate there and enjoyed our meal. Quick service. Order at the counter. We'd come again. Medium was hotter than expected so use caution.

We stopped there for Tesla supercharger, and went to get some snacks and drink twice, once leaving California going East, and another time on time way back. We ordered the samosa, masala chai, and mango lassi. Everything was fresh and delicious!! The restaurant was a bit run down, but the food was good. Very convenient for interstate traveling.

For hungry Indian family this is like oasis on i40 with very tasty Indian food . This trucker haunt has flavor of Indian dhaba with food tasting better than any restaurant in big city like Las Vegas / Houston / San Antonio .

Lamb Birriani and goat curry always great! Service is fast and accommodating very clean .

AMAZING food in NEEDLES!? Taking the unorthodox route to Vegas (I-15 was shut down), I went East then North, which cuts through Needles. Not wanting unhealthy options of pizza, I found Flavor of India. Appearances are deceiving, since the was NO ONE in the parking lot, just a line of Teslas waiting to charge You don't come here for ambiance, you come here for TASTE. Ordered the chicken biryani and it was ON POINT! The spice, hot and fresh, nice sized serving... it was exactly what I needed after a few hours on the road. Almost tempted to take the long way home to stop again!

This is a truck stop restaurant, mainly serving South Asian truck drivers, but I always try to eat here when charging my Tesla. The food is delicious, and it's probably the best restaurant in Needles. Many just get food to go, but there are a few tables. The chicken tikka masala is my favorite dish with a garlic nan and coconut water. There are plenty of choices including lamb and goat, biryanis and curries. The staff is brusque but takes pride in their food and will try their best to suit your tastes including adding chilies or sauces on request. While the ambiance is 'truck stop', everyone has been friendly enough inside and a few even like to chat.

Tommy and I stopped in Needles, California to charge our car. We were heading for Barstow, CA for the evening. Tommy had looked at vegan options in Barstow and was disappointed. Indian cuisine is a favorite of both of ours, and vegan options are usually available. Glad we did. Flavor of India is right off I-40 on old Route 66 in a stand alone building in a strip mall. I ordered Saag and a Bhindi dish. Tommy had chicken saag. Both were delicious. We had plenty to take with us for dinner. The young man taking our order was very pleasant. Food is given in to go containers but you can eat there, which we did some of the food. Do not expect fancy. The inside could use some sprucing up, but don't let looks deceive you. We will definitely stop back by if we're passing through Needles.

Thank you yelp! As always a trusty travel companion, traveling through Needles California this time looking for excellent food and this place popped up. One look at the reviews convinced me that we needed to stop by and it did not disappoint! I'm pretty picky about my Indian food but this butter chicken was off the charts as well as the garlic Nan so glad I got two orders of that we mowed it :-). Not a ton of ambience inside the restaurant but you're really not there are for that are you you're there for awesome tasty Indian food right? If I find myself passing by this way again I will be back no doubt. This is a great place to pop in and get some delicious Indian food to take on the road.
